Universal Mailing Lists has devoted itself to direct mail marketing for 27 years. From this experience we have found that there are several things critical to a successful direct marketing mailing campaign.

1. Has the target audience been wisely selected?
Very specific target marketing to your prospect. A day care center certainly would not need to go to households without children.

2. Is the offer clear understandable and reason-able?
The most perfectly designed mail marketing campaign is doomed to failure if the offer is not reasonable. Now in the 21st Century can any one successfully market buggy whips?

3. Is the offer being presented in a proper form?
Would a mimeographed piece of paper draw the same response as would an attractive four color self-mailer. Mailing pieces should not only represent the offer but the intended recipient as well.

4 Is the offer made in a timely manner?
Bulk mailing is handled secondarily to first class mail. Therefore try not to mail timed offers that would conflict with “holiday” first class mail.
